The Complete Game Model System

Your game model, your games, your plays, your sessions, one connected system

Most coaches plan sessions with no thread back to how they want their team to play. The Complete Game Model System is that thread: build your game model, design the games that train it and the plays that make it exact, then plan the session, with each part feeding the next. What you decide in one place arrives in the next by itself. It runs in hurling and in Gaelic football, on one choice you make once.

The Four Parts

1

Game Model Builder

Five steps. Know your players, work through the five moments of the game, set your principles of play, decide your set pieces, and study the opposition last. Fifty four principles to choose from and add to, so you are never starting at a blank box. A method used at inter county level, filled in with your own answers, and it prints as a one page team sheet for your players.

2

Games and Playbook Designer

Build a conditioned game that forces a principle to appear, using the S.T.E.P.R. constraints, or build a play for a restart or a sideline. Draw either one on a real pitch, or upload an image of one you already use. Your principles carry over from your model by themselves, and every play you build goes straight into your playbook.

3

The Playbook

Your set piece structures in one place, each with the runs, the non negotiables and the way it usually goes wrong. Send any of them into a session plan and it arrives as a drawing you can still move, not a picture you are stuck with. Your own plays sit beside the worked example that ships with it.

4

Session Plan Architect

Build the session block by block, adding only the layers each block needs: game moment, main objectives, numbers and playing area, work to rest. Every drill designer is the picture of one block: draw it, insert one of your own games, drop in one of your plays, or pick from the game library. Print the plan, or share it live so your coaches edit the same session together.

The Game Library

Seventeen of my own conditioned games ship inside the system, organised by warm ups, puck outs, transition, and attacking against defending. Pick one and it lands in your session as its own drill designer, picture and all. The games you upload yourself sit right beside them, so your bank and mine are both one tap from any plan.

Built for the Pitch

Hurling or Gaelic football. One choice sets the wording and the skills across every part, and a play carries its own code, so you can build for both.
Draw any game or play on a real pitch: players, runs, strikes, areas and cones.
Or upload your own images, straight from a screenshot, a photo, or a tactics board.
Seventeen of my own conditioned games included, ready to insert into any session.
Playing areas and work to rest calculated from your numbers and the intensity you want.
Every drill designer links to its session block, so the plan reads as one piece.
Live shared planning, so every coach works from the same page.
Works on your phone at the pitch, offline once loaded, and saves on your device with backup files you control.
Prints one clean document, every picture with its game and every block holding its page.

Who Built It

Built from inside inter county hurling and senior club play. This is the planning system I use myself, built into tools so your coaching can run on it too.
